Abdi Omar, Hope Center Co-Director

​

Abdi is a community health professional and entrepreneur who is dedicated to providing caring centers for people. 

​

He began his career as a case manager for six years in a Hennepin County community preventative health program. He earned a degree in health care administration from the University of Phoenix.

 

Prior to opening Hope Center Adult Daycare, he founded Smiles Child Care Center in Minneapolis with his wife Muna Diriyeh. He is proud to provide the community with care centers for both adults and children.

Abdi is an immigrant from Djibouti, Africa, and became an American citizen in 2005. He speaks English, Somali, Arabic and French.

He and his wife are raising their children in St. Paul.
